Police are reporting life-threatening injuries for the driver of a car that crashed in a section of Edison Sunday morning.
According to preliminary reports, the crash happened at approximately 5:30 a.m. on US-1 near Parsonage Road.
Police say the collision trapped the unconscious and unresponsive driver inside the vehicle.
Edison Police Department advised motorists to avoid the area as officers shut down the highway in both directions for the crash investigation.
The victim was listed in extremely critical condition.
