Paterson police are investigating a dramatic crash that left a driver injured early Friday morning after their vehicle went airborne and landed on a city street.
According to authorities, the incident occurred around 3:15 a.m. in the 200 block of Mill Street. Emergency responders arrived to find a severely damaged vehicle with the driver trapped inside.
Rescue crews quickly worked to extricate the individual before transporting them to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
A preliminary investigation suggests the vehicle had been traveling on nearby Interstate 80 when it somehow became airborne and crashed onto Mill Street in Paterson.
No other injuries were reported, and the cause of the crash remains under active investigation.
