The driver of a vehicle that became disabled near the Haynes Ave. (ramp by the Wyndham Motel) was placed under arrest after calling authorities where he stated that they were shot to allegedly get a faster police response.
EMS rushed to the scene shortly before 5 a.m. where they found a disabled vehicle on the ramp with the driver inside uninjured.
A further investigation revealed that the driver phoned in the shooting report because the area appeared "scary" and reportedly wanted authorities there faster.
