Dover Man Charged with Double Stabbing

A 43-year-old man accused of a double stabbing at a township restaurant Sunday morning, was arrested and charged, according to police.

Police were called to Pancho Villa Rodeo and Bar on East Blackwell Street early Sunday morning at about 1:21 a.m. for an altercation.

Upon arrival, police found two individuals stabbed - one person with a laceration to the head and stab wounds on the arms and to the chest while the other victim was stabbed in the chest and on the side - who were transported to Morristown Medical Center for treatment.

Shortly after the altercation, Jelsio Cruz Pavon, 43, of Dover, was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, obstruction of law, resisting arrest, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of a weapon.

The weapon, a knife, used in the assault has not been recovered.

The investigation remains ongoing.
