Police in Newark are investigating a stabbing incident that left two victims injured in the city's North Ward on Sunday night.
Officials said the stabbing happened just before 8:40 p.m. in the 100 block of Mount Prospect Avenue.
When emergency responders arrived at the scene, police said they found one of the victims suffering a stab wound in their neck and another stabbed in the face.
Both victims were transported to University Hospital for treatment while police looked into the motive for the attack.
Police said the names or additional details would not be released at this time.
The incident was not reported as a random attack.
