Authorities in Jersey City are on the search for a suspect wanted for a shooting that injured two people in a city neighborhood during the overnight hours.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the 30's block of Fulton Avenue at approximately 10:24 p.m., sending officers to the scene where they arrived to find a male suffering a gunshot wound in his stomach at that location.
Police say while officers secured the scene, they were notified of a second victim struck by a bullet in his leg.
According to authorities, both victims were transported to Jersey City Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
