Police responding to a report of a domestic violence incident Friday busted the owner of a local bar with dozens of guns, including an assault weapon.
According to preliminary reports, officers responded to 910 Sheridan Avenue after someone called police following a domestic dispute involving Michael Santos, 43.
Upon arrival, police say Santos refused to open the door to the apartment, but officers eventually entered and arrested Santos.
Following a search of the apartment officers seized a Ruger mini 14 - listed as a weapon listed on the assault weapons ban list - and three high-capacity magazines.
Authorities charged Santos with simple assault, terroristic threats, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of a weapon.
A court appearance initially scheduled for today was postponed due to the weather.
According to public records, Santos is listed as owner of Nugent's Tavern which had been boarded up and closed for over ten years, but has since reopened.
