"Doing Business With The City Workshop" Offered in Newark

Newark

City officials announced today that the Division of Central Purchasing and the Mayor’s Office of Affirmative Action will hold a “Doing Business with the City of Newark” workshop on Thursday, June 29, at 6 p.m., in the Municipal Council Chamber, at City Hall, located at 920 Broad Street.

The workshop is FREE and open to the public, but advance registration is suggested.

The workshop is also aimed at Newark, minority, and women owned businesses seeking to place bids with the City of Newark for municipal contracts and procurement.

This workshop will provide information on the contracting and bidding process, where to locate City contracts, vendor on-line registration and how to register for a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate.

“We are determined to empower and bring prosperity to businesses that are based in Newark,” Mayor Baraka said. “This workshop will enable members of our business community to learn how they can share in our growth, become part of transforming Newark, and do so in accordance with the law. I urge all Newark business owners who want to learn about government contracts and how to grow their business, to attend this workshop.”
