EMS transported a female to Jersey City Medical Center suffering serious bite wounds after a dog attacked her at a location in Jersey City Saturday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 152 Manhattan Avenue to investigate reports of a person attacked by an animal.
Units arrived and found the female victims suffering serious dog bites at the residence, according to police.
The dog was secured shortly after the attack and it is not clear if the woman was familiar with the animal at this time.
The incident is under investigation.
