The New Jersey Civil Service Commission is accepting applications from July 1 - August 31st for their next recruitment class.
Officials say anyone who wishes to be considered for employment must pass the written exam called the Law Enforcement Exam (LEE).
Candidates who pass will remain eligible for two years and must also be between the ages of 18 and 35, a US Citizen or permanent resident, a resident of Newark, have a high school diploma or GED, and have an NJ driver's license.
