There is an active investigation underway in a neighborhood in West Orange this evening.
Details are developing, but according to a brief statement released by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, they are looking into an incident that caused the death of an unidentified person in the teens block of White Street just before 8:30 p.m.
Although the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Task force is leading the investigation, authorities say they are attemptIng to determine the manner of the person’s death.
Investigators focused their attentions inside a The Specialty Peruvian Cuisine restaurant located at 19 White Street.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
