DEVELOPING: Two Suspects Captured, One At-Large After Newark Police Foot Pursuit in Newark's South Ward

Police have two suspects under arrest and officers are canvassing a Newark South Ward neighborhood for one other male who all bailed from a stolen vehicle a short time ago.

Newark Police officers attempted to pull over a vehicle that registration came back stolen at around 2:50 when the suspects sped away then bailed from the car in the vicinity of Hobson and Bragaw.

During the for pursuit, police officials notified NJ State Police after the suspects ran through the wooded portion of the I-78.

Officer set up a perimeter then noticed the suspects running on Goodwin Avenue according to police. Two of the males were captured in the vicinity of 87 Schuyler Avenue without further incident.

Due to the excessive heat, one of the suspects stated that he was tired and just wanted a drink of water.

There were no physical injuries reported.
