The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office are investgiating the circumstances behind a shooting incident that left two people dead in a section of Trenton Wednesday morning.
According to police, emergency responders were dispatched to the vicinity of Stuyvesant Avenue and Hillcrest Ave for a report of suspicious activities around 4 a.m.
Upon arrival, police found two identified people suffering gunshot wounds inside a car at that location.
Capital Health Paramedics pronounced the victims dead at the scene police said.
The motive behind the shooting is under investigation. Police have not released the identity of the victims at this time.
