DEVELOPING: Three Dead After Car Collides with NJ Transit Bus

Authorities are investigating a collision that involved a NJ Transit bus that killed several people in South Jersey overnight.

According to NBC-10 in Philadelphia, at least three people died when a sedan and a New Jersey Transit bus crashed around 2 a.m. Saturday morning on Route 38 in Moorestown, Burlington County.

NBC-10 said officials did not mention if the deceased were in the car or on the bus.

The collision left the sedan totaled, but it did not appear to cause much damage to the bus NBC-10said.

According to officials from NJ511, police closed a portion of NJ-38 between S. Church Street and Eastgate Drive remained closed as police continued their investigation.

Police have not confirmed the cause of the crash.
