Authorities from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office are actively investigating a suspicious death after an unidentified individual was found unresponsive this afternoon in Newark's North Ward.
Police were initially called to 59 Stone Street following reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, they discovered the victim unconscious and unresponsive inside a building. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
