Police are on an active search for two suspects who are wanted for a shots-fired incident that occurred in Newark’s South Ward this evening.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Bergen and Pamona Avenue at around 6:22 p.m.
Officers arriving at the scene began canvassing for shell casings and possible victims.
Police ultimately found an unoccupied crashed vehicle at the intersection of Goldsmith and Aldine.
Residents in the area said two armed males jumped out of the car wearing surgical masks, hoodies and jeans sprinted down Aldine Avenue.
Police say the vehicle had at least one bullet hole inside of it.
There were no shell casings immediately reported at the crime scene.
