Newark officials are reporting life-threatening injuries for a male shot in a section of the city’s North Ward this evening.
Shooters blasted multiple rounds of gunfire in the direction of two males in the 300 block of North 6th Street around 6:22 p.m.
Police say officers scrambled to the scene and found a male shot in the stomach and a second victim struck in the leg.
Both victims were rushed to University Hospital for treatment.
The suspects fled from the scene and remain at-large.
Avoid the area while police conduct an active and ongoing investigation.
