Detectives set up a crime scene in the 800 block of Stone Street after they located a body inside a vehicle this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, suspicious activity reports led police to the area before 1 p.m. where after a brief search, they found an unconscious and unresponsive person inside of a vehicle at that location.
The unidentified person was pronounced dead on the scene according to officials.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene assisting in the investigation.
There are no immediate confirmation of foul play at this time.
