Police are on the scene of a shots-fired incident that occurred in a section of Newark at this time.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 196 Roseville Avenue at approximately 3:42 p.m.
Police say their ShotSpotter activation devices detected about three rounds in the area. Officers canvassed the scene and found shell casings but no victims were located.
According to police, a light-skinned Hispanic male wearing a brown shirt ran from the scene after the shooting.
No injuries reported at this time.
