Police are on the scene of a shooting with a confirmed connection on one person in the city’s South Ward at this time.
According to officials reports of shots fired sent police to the 100 block of Mapes Avenue between Osborne Terrace and Bergen Street at approximately 6:40 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found a female victim suffering a bullet wound to the leg.
EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital where doctors began treating the girl's injuries.
The victim is reportedly around the age of 16-years-old.
The suspect remains at-large.
