We are receiving reports of separate shootings that has three victims injured in Newark at this time.
In one of the incidents, police responded to reports of shots fired that erupted in the vicinity of 160 Brookdale Avenue at approximately 7:50 p.m. where arriving officers found two males shot; with one of the victims suffering 'severe' injuries.
Police say the second Brookdale shooting victim has a non-life threatening injury and is en route to University Hospital.
There is a crime scene established and an active investigation underway.
In an earlier shooting, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of 180 12th Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. sending police to the scene where they found a male struck by bullets at that location.
The victim's injuries are not reported as life-threatening at this time.
There have been a total of three shooting that has connected on four victims since 6 p.m. **(Three males and one female)**.
All of the incidents are under investigation with no arrests made.
