Emergency responders are on the scene of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Newark.
According to reports, police and EMS were called to the 200 block of Rose Street at around 3:39 p.m. after receiving calls for a person down at that location.
Arriving crews located the victim lying on the ground next to a bike, unconscious and unresponsive.
EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital where doctors pronounced the victim dead.
A black Chevy Trailblazer fled the scene.
There is an active crime scene underway at this time.
