That police activity on Bloomfield Avenue is authorities investigating an armed robbery at a gas station that occurred this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to 108 Bloomfield Avenue -Millennium Gas Station- after receiving reports of an armed robbery in progress shortly before 2:45 p.m.
Fast responding Newark Police officers arrived at the scene and were informed that a Hispanic male suspect pointed a gun at one of the attendants and took an unknown amount of cash before he sped away blue Chevy truck with temp tags according to reports.
The suspect’s last known direction of flight was northbound on Garside reports said.
There were no reports of physical injuries.
The suspect remains at-large at this time.
