DEVELOPING: Life Threatening Injuries Reported in NJ Turnpike Crash in Newark

NJ State Police are looking into the cause of a crash that caused life-threatening injuries to at least one person. 

In the investigation, police learned that the early morning collision happened on the southbound NJ Turnpike car lanes around 4:15 a.m. 

Police and emergency responders arrived and found a crash vehicle with trapped occupants. 

Officials said a NJ State Police crime scene unit and a crash investigation team were called to assist in the investigation. 

The NJ Department of Transportation is reporting all lanes blocked at this time. 

There are multiple victims reported.
