Rescue and recovery crews are on the scene investigating the findings of a body floating in the Hudson River in Hoboken this afternoon.
Police have not released any official details but according to preliminary reports, police were called to 1 Hudson Place -Hoboken Terminal- to investigate a person in the river.
Upon arrival, they found the unidentified person who medical personnel pronounced dead at the scene according to reports.
Crews recovered the body and are now trying to determine who the person is and how they ended up inside the river.
The investigation is in its early stages.
