Police in Newark are on the search for several suspects who fired shots from a moving vehicle this morning at a location in the city.
According to preliminary reports, police taped off the area of Central Avenue and South 10th Street after gunfire rang out at around 9:10 a.m.
Police say a red truck occupied by suspects pulled up in the area and began to fire shots while the vehicle was still in motion.
There were no injuries reported, but police located shell casings in the neighborhood that has several busineses, a school and daycare center. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
