This is a look at the intersection of US-1 at Plainfield Avenue where emergency responders are on the scene of a crash with serious injuries reported.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the scene at approximately 6:50 a.m. after they received calls reporting a crash with possible trapped occupants.
Police and rescue crews arrived at the scene and observed damaged vehicles with one of the cars overturned at that location.
At least one person was extricated, then rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in serious condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
