Emergency responders are on the scene of a pedestrian stroke on a street in East Orange at this time.
According to preliminary reports, a child as young as 2-years-old has been rushed to.an area hospital suffering serious injuries after being struck by a car at the intersection of Munn and Wilcox avenues shortly before 4:30 p.m.
The child’s father was rushed by EMS to the hospital in an unknown condition according to reports.
Police have a crime scene established and an investigation underway.
UPDATE 5:32 pm The child is expected to be ok. The father is suffering a non-life threatening leg injury at this time.The driver of the Jeep fled the scene.
