Police are on the scene of a shooting with a person down in a section of Jersey City at this time.
According to preliminary reports, gunfire rang out from a vehicle in the vicinity of NJ-185 and Linden Avenue at approximately 8:50 a.m., placing officers on the scene to investigate.
Units taped off the area after finding one person struck by bullets at that location.
Police say a black Jeep Cherokee sped away from the scene towards Bayonne.
The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.
