Union County and Federal officials are on the scene of a police-involved shooting that injured a male in Elizabeth this afternoon.
It happened around 4:15 p.m. at Ruby Tuesday's restaurant located in the 100 block of International Boulevard.
A preliminary investigation confirmed that a DEA agent fired his weapon at a male suspect that struck and injured the assailant.
DEA Spokesperson Timothy McMahon told RLS Media the injured male was transported to the hospital and doctors are treating his injuries.
Federal officials have not released what initiated the shooting at this time.
There were no other injuries reported.
