There are as many as ten cars involved in a collision on the Garden State Parkway in Cranford at this time.
NJ State Police are n the scene of the crash that occurred in the southbound lanes of the highway near exit 137 at approximately 6:50 p.m.
According to preliminary reports, EMS transported several victims to hospitals around the region including University Hospital in Newark.
The severity of the injured has not been released at this time. Expect heavy Garden State Parkway southbound delays.
The cause of the crash is in its early stages of the investigation.
