Delivery Vehicle Left Running Stolen in Jersey City

Jersey City Police are looking for a thief who easily made off with a vehicle used for food deliveries Sunday night. 

At approximately 8 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Summit Avenue to investigate a vehicle theft report. 

Upon arrival, police found the owner of the car, who informed them that a male suspect had jumped into the car and sped off while they were trying to deliver food to an address in the community. 

The vehicle taken was a white Hyundai Sonata and the keys were left in the ignition, police said. 

The vehicle was last scene heading southbound on Summit Avenue. 

The incident is under investigation.
