Delaware Man Charged in Fatal Monroe Township Car Crash

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Monroe Township Police Chief Michael Biennas announced that a man from Delaware was charged today in the fatal collision which caused the death of a woman on May 13, 2019.

​According to officials, Mr. Manuel Oscar Dominguez-Valdez, 48, of Wilmington, Delaware was charged with one count Causing a Death While Driving with a Suspended License, a crime of third degree.

Also, reports say a motor vehicle summons was issued to Manuel Oscar Dominguez-Valdez for Driving with a Suspended License.

An investigation by Officer Daniel Mosakowski of the Monroe Township Police Department, and Detective Mark Morris of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that on May 13, 2019, Dominguez-Valdez was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram truck when he struck a Ford Fusion attempting to make a left turn across Forsgate Drive. The impact resulted in the death of the passenger in the Ford Fusion.

The victim, Ms. Brenda Ness, of Monroe Township, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The 74 - year old male driver of the Ford Fusion was taken to a local hospital and treated for his injuries.

As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Dominguez-Valdez are merely accusations, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
