Authorities requested Major Crimes Units to the scene of an incident where a woman was found dead at a location in Paterson overnight.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to a home in the 700 block of East 18th Street before 1 a.m. to investigate suspicious activities.
Upon arrival, they found the unconscious and unresponsive female who medical professionals pronounced dead at the scene according to reports.
The victim was said to be in her late 20's, but there were no immediate reports of what caused the death of the woman.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
