The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office has taken over the investigation into a deadly shooting that occurred overnight in Trenton.
According to a preliminary statement, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 1037 Broad Street at approximately 9:25 p.m.
When police arrived at the scene, they found the unidentified victim suffering gunshot wounds at that location.
Police said the victim was pronounced dead shortly before 10:25 p.m.
The incident is under investigation and the suspects remain at-large.
