Deadly Stabbing in Middlesex County Under Investigation

Authorities in Middlesex County announced that a fatal stabbing is under investigation.

Middlesex County officials said that on May 19, at approximately 1:57 a.m., the South Plainfield Police Department received a 911 call reporting a stabbing at a residence on Tooz Place in South Plainfield. 

Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone stated that upon their arrival authorities located Brandon Andrews-Cruz, 38, of Raritan, NJ and a 32-year-old female from South Plainfield with stab wounds.

Andrews-Cruz was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the female was transported to the hospital, where she is being treated for her injuries, according to Middlesex County officials. 

The investigation is still active and ongoing.
