Hamilton police are actively investigating a tragic accident that occurred on Saturday night on Rt 130 near Klockner Rd, resulting in the death of a pedestrian. 
At around 10 p.m., a 2021 FedEx Ford Van, operated by a 38-year-old male from Trenton, was traveling southbound when it collided with a 27-year-old male pedestrian, also from Trenton, who was crossing Rt 130 westbound.
Police said the pedestrian sustained severe injuries from the impact and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identities of both the driver and the deceased have not been released, as authorities are in the process of notifying their families.
The Hamilton Township Fire Division and the New Jersey Department of Transportation were present at the scene to assist.
Officers F. LaVacca and J. Anaya of the Hamilton Township Traffic Unit are leading the investigation into this fatal collision.
