Deadly Early Morning Truck Collision on New Jersey Highway Under Investigation

New Jersey State Police are currently investigating a deadly incident that occurred on a Burlington County highway early Sunday morning.Real EstateEmergency services, including police and firefighters, rushed to the southbound lanes of the NJ Turnpike near mile marker 54.4 in Bordentown following reports of a truck fire around 4:40 a.m.

Upon arrival, crews encountered a truck fully engulfed in flames, resulting from a severe collision. While battling the blaze, responders discovered at least one individual who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The intensity of the fire has made it challenging to determine whether the deceased was extracted from the truck or was an occupant of another vehicle involved in the crash.

As the investigation is still in its early stages, details remain sparse. State police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding this fatal collision.
