A violent crash has claimed the life of a person on a highway in Passaic County on Thursday night.
At approximately 11:10 p.m, emergency responders rushed to the eastbound lanes of I-80 near exit 57 to investigate reports of a crash with injuries.
Upon arrival, NJ State Troopers began to divert traffic off of the highway after they found the collision with a severely injured person on the road.
The victim was pronounced dead a short time later.
NJ State Police have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
The investigation remains active.
