NJ State Police are investigating a crash that killed one person on the NJ Turnpike in Essex County Sunday.
The early morning collision happened around 4:20 a.m. in the northbound lanes near exit 15 in Newark.
Emergency repsonders arrived at the scene and found an unidentified, unconscious and unresponsive individual suffering injuries resulting from the collision.
One other person was located suffering non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the wreck has not been determined.
