Deadly Crash Closes All Lanes on Route 80 in Parsippany

NJ State police offcials are investigating a crash that fatally injured a person a highway in Morris County Monday night.

According to preliminary reports, emergency responders rushed to the westbound lanes of Route 80 in Parsippany to investigate reports of a crash with serious injuries reported just before 9:10 p.m.

Upon arrival, police closed all lanes then diverted traffic to Route 46 after locating a severely damaged red pick-up truck crashed into the divider.

Police say one person was pronounced dead at the scene and at least two others were transported to the hospital for treatment.

The cause and circumstances surrounding the collision is under investigation by NJ State Police.
