The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Crime Scene Investigations Bureau is currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred Sunday evening in western Essex County.
The tragic incident, which led to deadly injuries, took place before 7 p.m. near the intersection of Hanford Place and Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell.
According to county officials, the collision resulted in the death of a male victim.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office has confirmed the fatality but has not yet released the name of the victim, pending notification of next of kin and further investigation.
