Authorities in Paterson are investigating the findings of a body found inside a vacant residence in the City of Tuesday.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 400 block of Main Street, at approximately 5:50 p.m. after nearby residents dialed 911 after encountering a suspicious smell.
Police arrived at the scene and began to search a vacant multi-family building where they found the unidentified person according to reports.
Authorities have launched an active and ongoing investigation, but there were no suspicious activities immediately reported.
