Detectives from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office were on the scene investigating a body found inside Weequahic Park late last night.
Sheriff's officers taped off a section of the park after they found the unidentified male laying on the ground unconscious and unresponsive at approximately 10:25 p.m.
According to offcicials from the Prosecutor's Office, it is unclear what caused the death of the man and they are awaiting autopsy results from the State Regional Medical Examiner's Office who will make that determination.
The male was wearing blue jeans and a dark colored shirt when official found them.
