An investigation conducted by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Drug Enforcement Agency, had federal officers raiding a two-story building Monday.
According to scene witnesses, shortly before 8:45 a.m., an unmarked SUV arrived to at 344 Kearny Avenue, where officers were reportedly seen taking at least one person into custody.
Investigators - dressed in full hazmat suits - were allegedly seen at the scene removing items from the building as late as 8:30 p.m.
There was no additional information immediately available as to what exactly led officers to that location.
