A motorist’s dash-cam, captured a reckless driver as he drove on County Line Road earlier today initiating an investigation by authorities
The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said, " We at OCPO saw the posted video and were amazed at the driver’s blatant disregard for the safety of others and the NJ Motor Vehicle Statutes."
OCPO Sgt. Michael Cecchini partnered with Lakewood PD Traffic Division Ptl. David Silberstein to investigate the incident which took place today on E. County Line Road and Apple Street at approximately 7:23 a.m.
In the video, a green Ford F-150 pick-up truck is seen as it passes a stopped school bus over a double yellow line while the school bus had it’s (red) lights on to indicate oncoming passengers (in this case children).
Sgt. Cecchini and Ptl Silberstein quickly identified, tracked and located the offender.
By 4:30 p.m. today, Alfonso D. Rodriguez-Rojas, 36, of Lakewood was issued summons for reckless driving, improper passing, passing a stopped school bus, and driving with a suspended DL.
His mandatory court appearance is set for June 11 at 9:30 a.m. at Lakewood Municipal Court.
