Police are reporting serious injuries for a motorcyclist involved in a violent crash in a section of Newark on Monday night.
According to authorities, emergency responders rushed to the intersection of 1st Street and 7th Avenue to investigate reports of a crash with injuries around 10:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found a motorcyclist ejected from his bike and impaled through the windshield of a car at that location.
Police said the severely injured victim was extricated then transported to University Hospital for treatment, where he remained in critical condition as of 2 a.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
