Police in East Orange set up a crime scene in the 100 block of Chelsea Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. after multiple rounds of gunfire erupted in the area.
Officers guarded several blocks included Munn Avenue, Rhode Island Avenue, and Chelsea while Newark police assisted in the investigation after a male suspect also fired off shots from a gun on Columbia Avenue.
There were no serious injuries or arrests reported.
