Police are investigating a crash that caused severe injuries to at least one person on a NJ highway overnight.
The multi-vehicle crash happened near the Vitamin Shoppe at around 2:50 a.m. where a car crashed then rolled over several times according to preliminary reports.
One person was trapped in the vehicle that overturned. Emergency crews were able to rescue the unidentified victim then transport them to an area hospital where they remain in critical condition according to reports.
Police closed off three lanes on the highway for the crash investigation.
The official cause of the crash remains under investigation.
