A crash that caused a pickup truck to roll over several times left female passenger dead.
Accordion to authorities Shortly before 11 a.m., NJ State Troopers were called to a three vehicle crash in the eastbound lanes of I-78 at milepost 4.4.
Authorities said, a Ford Fusion in the left-center lane collided with a pickup truck towing a motorcycle trailer, which was in the left lane.
The pickup lost control, rolled over and struck the cab of a DOT work truck.
The woman passenger of the pickup was declared deceased at the scene. The male driver of that truck was airlifted to a hospital.
A DOT worker was treated for minor injuries.
State Police Fatal Accident and Crime Scene Investigations Units are assisting in the investigation.
